- Panchkarma methods provide adequate prevention of the diseases by elimination toxins from every cell of the body.

Panchkarma requires some preparatory measures i.e. snehana, svedana and samsarjana karma as post Panchakarma measures.
Snehana (Oleation): It is of two types – internal and external. External oleation is known as Abhyanga: it is an effective remedy for relieving body-ache, generalized weakness, obesity etc.
Svedana (Sudation): Procedure used to induce sweating with or without use of heat (Agneya and Anagneya).
Vamana (Emesis): Elimination of morbid doshas in the body through the mouth.
Virechana (Purgation): Elimination of doshas by inducing controlled purgation.
Basti (Enema Therapy): The method of treatment by which medicines in suspension are administered through anorectal, urethral and vaginal route with an instrument called Bastiyantra. This process is of two types: Anuvasana (Oil enema) and Asthapana (Decoction enema).
Nasya (Nasal insuflation): Administration of medicine through nostrils. To cure Sinusitis migraine, ear problems, etc.
Samsarjana Karma: It is special post panchakarma dietary regiment and particular Dincharya for a specified period of convalescence.
Shirodhara: This exercise has a very good impact on the nervous system by calming down the mind and all sensual organs. It is highly effective in migraine, insomnia, high blood pressure & neuralgia. It also improves the memory.
Shirobasti: Effective in disease of ear, nose, throat, neuralgia, migraine, chronic rhinitis etc.
Netra Tarpana: It is helpful in eye disorders like conjunctivitis, blurred vision, and Bell's Palsy etc.
Karna Purrana: It is helpful in diseases like deafness, otitis, stiffness in the neck, dislocation of mandibular joint etc.
Pizichil: It removes the toxins from the body, improves the circulation and the activities of the vital organs, increases the resistance, immunity power and vitality. This treatment is highly recommended for hemiplegia, spondylitis, sciatica, osteoarthritis, myelitis conditions and many degenerative diseases, preventing ageing process.
Pinda Sweda: (Pancha-Kizhi) It is a good remedy for asthma, arthritis, hemiplegia, myopathies, for rejuvenation, geriatric problems etc.
Shashtik Shali (Navara Kizhi): This therapy is highly effective in poliomyelitis, stiffness of joint, neurological disorders caused by vitiated VATA etc.
